Well...If the judge happens to get enough jurors at the time he/she might not issue an arrest warrant ....If the judge issues the arrest warrant and the local police cannot find you, the warrant just sits there....There is a national database for outstanding warrants...When someone gets caught doing something else, they look up for the outstanding warrants..Then I guess they would hand you over to the police where there is an outstanding warrant for you. Otherwise the warrant just sits there..You would need to explain to the judge that you are not eligible for jury duty and explain the situation and the judge might expunge the record.....You would spend some hard earned money doing that...
The whole thing might degenerate into 'My Cousin Vinny'.

I wonder what is the need of such crap from these airlines? Why not fly directly when service is available. Racism in Europe is a known fact and is evident everywhere. Best is to boycott their service and they will realize the result. Until people start doing it on massive scale they will not provide proper service.

If your original 140, on the basis of which you filed 485, gets revoked you are in trouble. You may get denial notice that you will have to contest. Needless to say, you have a good ground if you can prove it that job change was in synch with norms / rules laid out in AC21.
But if you are sure that your original employer is not going to revoke 140, you are better off not to inform.

Just because you are here on an L-1A, that does not qualify you for EB1. The immigrant petition in question is likely the Multinational Manager (MM) I-140. If you were a manager abroad and are performing in a managerial role in the U.S., you may qualify for EB1. As you initially came over in L-1B status, it is more likely than not that you will not qualify for EB1.
If you were in a managerial role (either functional or personnel) abroad, it may be worth discussing this option with your attorney. Odds are that they already examined this possibility and determined that it was an unlikely to succeed.

E filed both myself and spouse application 157 days before expiry of EAD. Received Receipt numbers immediately, since i e-filed. i did send in the documentary evidence supporting the case also.
Also received FP request, which i had to re-schedule twice(once for visit abroad, second on missing app. due to late arrival of notice). Finally got FP completed on third try.
However, i received email stating that an RFE has been send for both our applications. Still awaiting for the paper document.
Does this mean the application was accepted? Or Should i e-file once again instead of waiting on the outcome of this application as i am already a month late to expiration of EAD?

The PD for my GC application is Dec 10, 2001. I filed under EB3 category and my chargeability is India. Going by the backlog that we are currently experiencing for EB3, is it worth filing for an upgrade of the GC application from EB3 to EB2 based purely on timelines for both EB3 and EB2?
Since you are already very close to the GC, I would not recommend to go for EB2. It would take 1-2 years for the PERM and I-140 get cleared. By that time you might have got your GC. If your employer is ready to spend, give a try and you are not going to lose anything.

filed my 140(EB3) regular processing Nebraska Service Centre with RD/ND=Oct25th 2006..
guys from April/May r still waiting and I think there must be whole load of 140 applications from June onwards..So maybe another backlog building up for 140 cases...If our application is not so strong and we file for prem.processing they might use a denial notice and knock us out..!!
Any idea when could my case be touched...expecting not until March..

Congrats satyachowdary on your I-140 approval. Is your I-485 has been approved with or with out interfile request, let me know...

I am planning to move to different residence. My 485 application is currently pending.
Has anyone successfully filed change of address form? and have their EAD or other documents deliever to their new address correctly. Reason I am asking my friend changed his residence while his 485 pending and all his document would still come to my address (his old address). He made numerous request to USCIS and files for AR11 etc. His all documents EAD.. even Green card also came back to my address(His old adress). At least he was lucky that I was still staying over there.
Any thoughts much appreciated.
I have changed twice since I filed my 485 and getting all my documents to the new address.
1. first fill in AR-11
2. then the system will ask if there are any other related pending cases, then you need to specify one after other pending cases. Make sure to take the screen shots for all your confirmations right from AR11. In case you need it.
3. If you call customer service they are not helpful in this regard. But if there is any major problem ( I mean your FP not done or any document which you need to receive have not received yet) then you reach level II customer service IO then they can verify your address.
So far I did not had any problem with two times address change.
But make sure to update your state ID, so that in case you go for infopass, you have updated ID.
Hope this information is helpful. And I did every thing online.

My brother moved jobs early last year. He filed AC21 and got an RFE immediately.
The move was parallel in job function and the pay was good.
They replied to the RFE and then never heard back. In these economic times, USCIS

Do I still need a copy of I-140 if I have I-797 extended for 3 years from the existing employer?
If you already have your h1 extended for 3 years then you can get those 3 years with employer 2. Consult a lawyer though, when you actually switch jobs.

This is regarding status, if GC or CITIZEN there should not be any problem. If its H1B visa, then it should have validity. Means H1B visa should not have expired. I heard this story from my brother in law and in fact travel agents know this and they themselves advice on this. Those with expired H1B visa cannot travel through EUROPE. So my brother in law went to India through middle east.

You have the instructions since you quote them. Send exactly what they are asking for, i.e. the form, photos, copy of front and back of previous EAD and check to pay them.
I would suggest you send separate checks if only to be able to get the case number from the back of them when they are cashed.
The instructions clearly say make check payable to the Department of Homeland Security. I believe if you did write them to the USCIS they will still get cashed but follow the instructions.
You seem to have it all under control. Have confidence in yourself and get the applications sent in.
